Rounding Out

She had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when she laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!

She was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw her, in spite of myself!
A wink of her eye and a twist of her head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

Things are getting round over here because I'm expecting child number four!

Our newest addition is expected to arrive the first week of June.  Yay!

How old are you mama?

"Nobody knows how old Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle is.  She says she doesn't know herself.  She says, "What difference does it make how old I am when I shall never grow any bigger."'

-Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle by Betty MacDonald

The Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle books are some of our favorites.  Today we needed a new chapter book and the kids all agreed upon Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle.  We haven't ready them in order and read one of the others first.

The above quote was in today's reading and is how I often feel.  I never could keep track of how old my parents were and now I forget how old I am too!  It just doesn't seem to matter.  I'm as big or tall as I'm going to get.

I don't want to be called Tato anymore

Spencer and I were working together this morning in his bedroom.
Our conversation went like this:

Spencer: Mom, I don't like my name (nickname) Tato anymore."

Me: Ok, you want me to call you only Spencer now?

Spencer: Ah, no.  Lord Voldermort.

Beware folks,  Spencer aka Lord Voldermort is going to take over the world.
